Please join us from 6pm to 8pm on Sunday, March 28 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, Ga in the Activities Center.
The movie is free, but any donations or money made from concessions will be given to Curing Kids' Cancer's efforts to fund cutting edge pediatric cancer research.
Grainne and Clay Owen will share how losing their son Killian to leukemia inspired them to create Curing Kids' Cancer.
Inspired by a true story, Letters to God tells the story of a young boy fighting cancer. He writes letters to God, touching lives in his neighborhood and community and inspiring hope among everyone he comes in contact.
An unsuspecting substitute postman, with a troubled life of his own, becomes entangled in the boy's journey and his family by reading the letters.
They inspire him to seek a better life for himself and his own son, whom he's lost through his alcohol addiction
A note from Clay and Grainne Owen
Killian Owen, the inspiration for Curing Kids' Cancer
We were fortunate to attend a private showing of "Letters to God." As parents who lost a son to cancer, it was - at times - difficult to watch this honest portrayal of a child's battle with cancer.
The movie did an extraordinary job of portraying the bravery of Tyler, the child fighting cancer. But just as importantly, it captured the impact on parents, siblings, school mates, neighbors and church members.
And best of all, the movie is about hope: Hope offered through God, through friends and through the medical community.
This movie honors our son Killian as well as all the children who have to face the horrors of cancer. Please support our efforts to find cutting edge cures for childhood cancer in our lifetime.
